The ‘fancy pants’ house relocation trailer
Last week we put in a ‘Contos’ style home, with our new state of the art trailer.
“We call it the ‘fancy pants’ trailer, because it’s exactly that, a very special and unique trailer,” explains Bradley Moore, one of the owners of our Lifestyle Village.
It’s 2 steer, with 3 axles and each wheel can go up and down separately. The length is adjustable to fit any number of our home designs, it can be steered separately and you can slide the front across allowing more movability and flexibility. It really is a remarkable and sophisticated house relocation trailer.
We are pretty excited about this piece of machinery. It allows us to move and manipulate the homes which are brought in more gently, with less disturbance to the house. We are also able to move our homes into tighter locations, without damaging the trees as you would if using a crane to position the homes. Because we can be more flexible, our development is not compromised.
We can offer our members any block they desire, and the option to move in when they wish. For example, a sought after corner block can be committed to and moved into fully landscaped before the other homes are positioned.
We have been able to keep all the wonderful trees we have saved and relocated with no damage to them as we manipulate the houses into their positions. We can also move larger houses, such as our more popular homes – The Contos and Indjidup – because the trailer is flexible with its length. Plus, we can continue to landscape the village without compromising the look and feel for the residents moving in earlier.
26 sites have been committed to in the Village. We have 2 more village members moving in next month and our Clubhouse is on track to be finished end of September. The hand laid stone fire place is complete with a 2 sided fireplace installed, using all local stone taken from the property. The commercial kitchen fit out has commenced, the fire pit is being installed in front of the Clubhouse, and we have our security gates and sign going in next week.
We have several display homes available for inspection including The Bunker Bay, a 3 bedroom, 2-bathroom home, the Contos, 2 bed, 2-bathroom and an office/library/extra sleeping at the entrance, and our most affordable home the Eagle Bay design. Our homes all have an open plan living kitchen and dining area offering plenty of light and room to move or entertain.
Why not come along to one of our fortnightly Information Evenings? Bring a friend along, enjoy a walk around the village, view our display homes and have all your questions answered. Plus, enjoy a glass of wine and some nibbles.
Our next Village Information Evening and Home Viewing is TUESDAY 23rd July 5pm-7pm.
